Joined The Nativity School of Harrisburg in 2012 with 20 years of previous combined experiences as a Private Academic School Administrator, Teacher, Juvenile Corrections Administrator, and Therapeutic Counselor for Juvenile Delinquents and children at risk. He has a Masters in Educational Leadership.
Director of Curriculum & Instruction
Ms. Richardson graduated from Shippensburg University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Level Education with a concentration in English/ Language Arts. From there, she spent two years working as a long term ESL substitute for the Chambersburg School District. Ms. Richardson’s has spent the last five year at Nativity as the ELA teacher. She is excited about her new role and hopes to be utilized as a tool to achieve Nativity’s mission of “breaking the cycle of poverty through education."
Executive Assistant to the Director
Alicia brought a wealth of experience to the Nativity when she joined the staff in March of 2016. Prior to her arrival, she worked at National Government Services as an appeals rep. She also served as the Operations Managers of the Female Work Release Center for seven years. "I love the mission of Nativity and the impact we can have on the students and their families."
Director of External Relations
Ms. Denise graduated from Messiah College with a B.S. in Music Education and from National Louis University with an Early Childhood Director's Credential. She comes to The Nativity School of Harrisburg with over fifteen years experience working with children and families.
Director of Graduate Support
Ms. Stine graduated from Lycoming College with a B.A. in Psychology. She was also certified in elementary education and middle school math. While at Lycoming, Ms. Stine was a four year member of the women's basketball team. Ms. Stine served at the math teacher at Nativity for eight years before transitioning into her current role which she has had for the past three years. She believes strongly in the mission of Nativity and is dedicated to serve the needs of each individual student.
English/Lead Teacher
Ms. Miller is originally from Upstate NY, but relocated to Pennsylvania when she received a writing scholarship to Lock Haven University. From there, she attended Penn State, majoring in Journalism. She received her Private School Teaching Certification from Ashworth College, received a Montessori Certification in Early Education and studied the Reggio Emelia Approach at Walden University. Ms. Miller is a freelance writer and an avid musician. She loves spending time with her family, her Siberian Husky and rooting on the Buffalo Bills!
Math Teacher
Miss Heim received her teaching degree in early, elementary, and special education from Immaculata University. She has taught in both urban and suburban school districts, as well as has experience teaching in both regular and special education classrooms. She has taught all grades, ranging from first to twelfth grade. In her free time, Miss Heim enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Finlay. She enjoys painting, drawing, knitting and crocheting. Having been adopted herself from Russia, she is passionate about educating people about the hardships and trials that adopted children and their families can experience as they go through life. She is always looking for ways to support children both inside, and outside the classroom and is very happy to be joining the Nativity Family!
Social Studies
Steven Baltimore was born and raised in Harrisburg City and is a graduate of Harrisburg High school. He furthered his education at Harrisburg Area Community College and Shippensburg University. Mr. Baltimore has been working with youth for over 20yrs. He has been part of the T.E.N.'s program, New Possibilities, Abraxas, River Rock Academy as well as volunteering with youth programs, M.O.S.E.L.F. basketball league, and as a Student Leader in Student Ministry. Steve has been married for 13yrs. has 3 children and 1 Grandson. He currently serves as an Elder at his church. Steve considers himself a servant leader. He understands his assignment on this earth is way bigger than him. He understands he was placed here to serve and for God to get the glory out of his service.
Science Teacher
Dr. Williard received a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in International Education from Northcentral University. He received a M.A. in American Studies from Penn State Harrisburg. He also earned a B.A. in History with an emphasis in U.S. History from Penn State University. Dr. Williard has been teaching Kindergarten through 12th grade in various subjects for a period of 11 years in the public school system.
5th Grade Teacher
Chelsea Ealey graduated from Shippensburg University in 2020 with a B.A. in English with a concentration in Literary Studies. She is currently pursuing her M.S. in Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum of Elementary Education through Drexel University. Before coming to Nativity, Miss Chelsea worked in K-5 Before and After School Programs and Early Childhood Education simultaneously. She is excited to contribute to producing emotionally intelligent, successful learners that have positive role models.
Graduate Support at Bishop McDevitt High School
Barbara Greenlee graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School before going on to earn her degree from Penn State Harrisburg. She did her student teaching at Harrisburg High School before moving on to work in State government and then as a bridal consultant. She then became the Director of Religious Education at Cathedral of St. Patrick. Barb has been a volunteer at Nativity since it started in 2001. In her current role at Nativity, she works with Nativity graduates who attend Bishop McDevitt High School.
Drill Instructor and Religion Teacher
Sgt Steven Holmes has been working at Nativity for the past several years. In his time at Nativity, he has served as the military drill sergeant as well as the religion teacher. Sgt. Homes has also played a key role in the summer leadership camps.
Math Tutor and Religion Teacher
Lyn Shiery has been part of the Nativity family for over ten years. He is a former math and computer science teacher from the greater Washington D.C. area. He works daily with students in the math classroom, helping them improve their skills in addition to serving as a religion teacher at Nativity.
